ACam Live Video (Lite) App Reviews

I was reading some of the reviews, and I dont understand why people say that you have to pay to use it. The free version works just fine for me on my "local" network. I think you have to purchase the full version to use on "external networks" like when you leave the house. But for the price,the results are more than expected and awesome! I have my laptop setup right now as an impromptu babycam. Yes there is a lag, but its not a big deal, im not trying to have a conversation with anyone. The picture is color, and the audio works. This product makes me love my iphone and my mac even more!

This app is a waste of time it!!

Please target your build settings to support 4.0 and above. I cant imagine this app has any 4.3 requirements that prevent XCode from building it for 4.0. I realize certain APIs have changed regarding AV, but this hasnt prevented a host of other media heavy apps from running on 4.2.1 devices!

Its not free u gonna need a software for ur Mac and that will cost 7.99$

Not sure why so many folks dont like this app. Works great for me! Very stable. Free as they say over local area network. Have the app on my MacBook, my iPhone, and my iPad. Use it to watch the pressure gauge on my canner while processing foods. That way I know if I need to go to the kitchen and adjust the burner. Allows me to relax & watch TV at night instead of staying in the kitchen for long processing times such as meats. I have an iPhone 4s and a first generation iPad.

Free version wont work outside of your wi-fi, so you cant monitor remotely. Its not good enough to want to pay for it either. Had to update explorer, then bonjour to download the software, then those two want to add on extra junk to your computer ( bonjour printing ) toolbars etc. Cant download it through Comodo Dragon or Mozilla etc.

I needed something to use as a baby monitor as mine bit the dust and so far this app works really well. Easy to download and install. Not a permanent solution but it is perfect for the short term.

Im running my webcam on windows (w/ their free software) & view it around the house as well as where I have wifi on my iTouch. No problems for me, dont see why others are having them unless they just didnt follow the instructions... If you can set up your home network/wifi, then you can use this app.

I got this app to use as a video baby monitor. I had some issues with the connection initially and after some great support by the support team, the problem turned out to be with my router. Thanks for the quick response and turnaround guys. (4.5/5.0 star for Ray@Support) As far as the App goes, sometimes the picture is a little grainy and audio seems to get stuck, but overall as a free app, it works well for monitoring my kids from the iPad/Mac/Windows configuration I have.

The installation routine says install K Lite codecs but redirects to a dead link. Then says install Bonjour print services? Really? Installed everything according to instructions and got nothing but a blank app window that I had to kill with Task Manager because it froze every time it was launched. Glad everyone else seems to be having luck with it but for me it was nothing but a waste of time.

Followed all procedures. Aircam windows program freezes upon launch.

This is probably a scam. It doesnt work AND I am still cleaning the adware and viruses on my computer from the download! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!

Its free only if you use it within your network. You must pay for more features. Another free upfront scam.

If your phone or pod freezes turn off Bluetooth like the introductions say. Bonjour only pops up when actually pairing and linking devices. If youre not on a wifi: get you brkas a job and get some wifi!

It works good for me. It took a few minutes to get it working, had to read the instructions again. I only gave it 4 stars because Im still having trouble getting the audio working. Other than that it does what its suppose to

It worked but you cant turn it off when its in Hidden Mode. The iSight stays on with the green light indicator. Not so hidden if the green light is on. Had to restart the computer just to delete the Hidden Mode. I do not recommend.

I used this just for fun, which turned into a big ordeal trying to figure out how to turn the camera off when Im not actually using the app, finally had to get online to find out how to uninstall the program. The devs are really sneaky, by not fully telling you how it works

No matter what I tried, I could not get this program to connect… I saw the video feed on my computer. I saw the connection option on my phone. However, it never let me actually connect the two, thus making the monitor aspect of this program completely useless.
